Recycling Program

Thanks to our pop can and grocery cans, car batteries and aluminium recycling, our group has raised some extra cash.  Keep up the good work everyone and don't forget to pass the word around to your neighbours, friends, relatives etc...  Every little bit helps us and helps save the environment!

We have been recycling car batteries or any aluminium products (yes, even your kitchen sink, old appliances, aluminum cans food comes in too!). 

These are to be dropped off at Ron's Mechanical also.

   Looking for a New and Creative Way to Raise Money for your NOT-FOR-PROFIT GROUP or SCHOOL?

\Bi-Monthly Spaghetti Suppers:

Every second month, usually on the first Thursday of the month, Lion Pauline cooks up her delicious batch of spaghetti sauce and everyone is invited to come and partake in a delicious salad served with it.  An assortment of mouth watering, home made deserts follow the meal with tea or coffee, all for the cost of $6.99/adult.  Of course, kids under 8 are free.  Why not join us on our next one and bring your friends, neighbours, family along?  Tickets are available through most Azilda Lions members or from Lion Gisele who does a great job keeping tabs on them.  Hope to see you all at the next one!

 Jug Curling Tournament:

Thanks to Mr Lionel Lalonde, the  Jug Curling Tournament which we inherited this last April, will now be one of our major fundraisers for the year.  It will take place every year at the beginning of April.  This is all weekend competition requiring a lot of man hours and volunteers from both the Lions and any other member of the community willing to lend us a helping hand. 

Fondue Night:

The end of April announces Lion Claude's mouth watering fondue night.  For this night, eight tables of six to eight people fill the den to savor everything from fruits, vegetables, meat cooked in different types of fondue sauces.  If you have never been to one of these, don't miss the next one!  Everything is followed by games and entertainment, making it a wonderful evening out.  Come join us next year.

Midnight Bowl:

For our sports fans, every May, Lions Mike and Brenda invite everyone to their Midnight Bowl.  Each year, a new theme is set, fabulous prizes are won and fun is had by one and all.  Why not join us and make it a night you will never forget!

 Azilda Lions Golf Tournament:

August announces the culmination of months of preparations by Lion Norm and Lion Gary for their golf tournament.  Teams are made, tee off is set and everyone has a fantastic day on the greens.  Everything is followed by a most delicious meal and an award ceremony.  This tournament is usually held in August but check the website for any date changes.  Hope to see you all there!
